At Candles Plus, we're committed to ensuring our products provide long-lasting aromatic experiences. Here are specific care instructions for each:

Candles:

  1. Trim the Wick Every 2 Hours: Before lighting, trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch. This promotes a clean, even burn and prevents excessive smoke or soot.

  2. First Burn: Allow the candle to create a full melting pool across the top during the initial burn. This might take 2-3 hours depending on the candle's size, ensuring an even burn throughout its life.

  3. Avoid Drafts: Keep candles away from drafts to prevent uneven burning and maintain a steady flame.

  4. Extinguishing: Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish. This prevents wax splattering and preserves the wick for the next use.

  5. Storage: Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat to preserve their quality.

  6. Repurpose Candle Vessel: After enjoying your candle, pour remaining melted wax into a waste container or garbage. Pour some alcohol in the bottom of the jar to loosen the glue dot and use a metal object to remove the metal wick tab holder, then wipe out the jar with the remaining alcohol in the jar. Afterwards wash the jar with warm soapy water and leave it for drying. Now you can use your jar to store your pens, pencils, markers and other accessories. DO NOT DISCARD WAX IN YOUR SINK OR TOILET, WAX CAN CLOG YOUR PIPES.

  7. Dispose Off: Never allow your used wax to go down sink otherwise it will lead to your pipes getting clogged.

Car Diffusers:

  1. Refill Instructions: Follow the specific refill instructions provided with your car diffuser. Use only compatible refill oils to maintain the diffuser's functionality.

  2. Placement: Secure the car diffuser in an appropriate location, ensuring it won't obstruct your view or interfere with driving controls.

  3. Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation within the vehicle. Avoid placing the diffuser in areas where air vents may block the diffusion of the fragrance.

  4. Cleaning: Regularly clean the diffuser's surface with a soft, dry cloth to maintain its appearance.

  5. Safety: For safety, refrain from tampering with the diffuser while driving. Ensure it's securely in place to prevent accidents.
